SUSAN TREABESS TAKES FIRST PLACE   The USEF High Performance press release states, “Also getting in on the action at Del Mar this weekend were the para-dressage riders. The Dressage Affaire FEI CPEDI3* served as a qualifying event for those riders wishing to complete in the Selection Trials for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. The trials will be held June 24-27 at the Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, IL. Wendy Fryke and Lateran swept the Grade III division, winning the Team, Individual and Freestyle by at least five percentage points. Grade IV rider Susan Treabess, who was born without her left hand, triumphed aboard Moneypenny. The combination took top honors in the Team, Individual and also the Freestyle with a score of 72.417%. Sponsor Bornè Saddlery presented Treabess with a custom dressage saddle for her top score.”

SUSAN TREABESS/STEFFEN PETERS TRAINING SESSION….Susan Treabess WEG Para Dressage candidate and her mount Moneypenny returned recently from Del Mar where they had been invited to train for several days with Olympian Steffen Peters.  Susan and the dutch mare Moneypenny, owned and trained by Katy Peterson  are both long time products of this system.  Susan began her training with Ellen as a 12 year old child, and Moneypenny, after her start in a Buck Brannaman clinic  has received the same training from her owner/trainer ….also a long time student of Ellen’s.  Susan and Moneypenny competed successfully at both 3rd and 4th levels.  This year they will be competing at Prix St George and the Para qualifiers.  Susan under Steffen's watchful eye.
